Remedy#1: Mustard Oil Home Remedy to Get Rid of Dark Knees
Mustard oil is full of linoleic, erucic and oleic acid that helps in keeping the skin moisturized and improves the tone of darkened knees. Just take some mustard oil and massage it well on your knees for 15 minutes after the shower.
Leave it on for few hours and then wash it off with warm water and soap. Repeat this process on daily basis to keep your skin moisturized and clear from the dirt.
Remedy#2: Mint & Lemon Juice Remedy to Get Rid of Dark Knees
Mint has anti-inflammatory properties which cures the scares and blemishes. It takes care of the skin by boosting the collagen and keeps the skin rejuvenated. Take half cup of water and add few mint leaves in it. Now squeeze half of the lemon in this water and let it boil for 5 minutes.
After that, take it off from the flame and cool it off. Now take some cotton and dip it in this mixture. Apply it on your knees and elbows and let it remain for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and repeat this regularly for curing dark spots on the knees.
Remedy#3: Gram flour & Yogurt Remedy to Get Rid of Dark Knees
Gram flour has the quality to exfoliate your skin and remove the dead skin cells. Yogurt has the power to give your skin an even tone. Take 2 tbsp of gram flour and mix 1 tsp of yogurt in it to form a paste. Apply this paste on your knees for 15-20 minutes and let it dry.
Then remove it slowly by gently massaging it in circular motions. Then rinse off with plain water, this will remove the dirt from the knees and give them a soft and bright look.
Remedy#4: Onion and Garlic Remedy to Get Rid of Dark Knees
Take 1 clove of garlic and 1 onion and peel off their skin. Grate onion and garlic finely and mix them together. Now rub them on dark knees for atleast 10 minutes and then wash off with mild soap.
This paste will remove the dirt from the knees and make their tone lighter.
Remedy#5: Baking Soda & Milk Remedy to Get Rid of Dark Knees
Baking soda is a great exfoliator as it removes the dead skin in an effective way. Mix 1 tbsp of baking soda into milk and make a thick paste. Apply this mixture on the dark knees and scrub gently for atleast 5 minutes.
Wash off with water and you will see that your dark knees will be lightened a bit. Here will be visible difference with regular use of this paste.
Remedy#6: Gram Flour, Turmeric, Milk and Lemon
Take 2 tsps of gram flour and mix 1 tsp turmeric in it along with 2 tbsp milk..Also mix 1 tsp lemon juice in it along with rose water and mix them well to form a paste. Now apply this paste on your elbows and knees and let it remain there for 15 minutes.
Remove it gently after it dries up and then wash off with plain water. Apply some rosewater and pat dry. You can repeat this process twice a week to remove dirt and darkness from knees and elbows.
Remedy#7: Yogurt and Almond Remedy to Get Rid of Dark Knees
Take 8-10 almonds and grind them coarsely in a grinder. Now mix 2 tbsps of yogurt to this powder and mix well. Now wet your fingertips and apply this paste on your knees and elbows, rubbing it gently.
Then leave this paste for 15-20 minutes on your knees and elbows and let it dry. Then wash it off with water and repeat this process once or twice in a week.
Remedy#8: Aloe Vera and Honey
Take the juice of Aloe Vera and add 1 tsp of honey to it. Now mix it well and massage into your knees and elbows for atleast 20 minutes. Now wash it off with soap and water. Repeat this process daily to get rid of dark knees and elbows.
Take a ripe papaya and cut it into slices. Now take 2-3 slices and mash them well to form a paste. Now apply this paste to your knees and elbows and leave it there for 15 minutes. Then simply wash off this paste with water.
You can use the remaining mixture afterwards as you can repeat the process twice in a week. Papaya has moisturizing properties and it also helps in lightening the skin tone.
Remedy#10: Sugar and Olive Oil
Take 2 tsps of sugar and olive oil to form a thick mixture of them. Apply this mixture on elbows and knees. Now rub this mixture on your elbows and knees gently for five minutes. Use a mild soap to wash it off gently with water.
Sugar helps in exfoliating your skin and olive oil will moisturize it well making it soft and supple.
