There are many natural remedies to overcome the symptoms of ulcers, which has been proved helpful in treating stomach ulcers at home.

  • Excessive intake of oily and spicy food
  • Excess consumption of alcohol, caffeine and tobacco.
  • Long-term use of painkillers and osteoporosis.
  • Taking aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs
  • Excessive worry, anger, tension, and hurrying are prone to ulcers.
  • Other reasons for this include stress, diabetes, prolonged bed rest etc.

What Are The Most Common Symptoms Of Stomach Ulcers?

You may feel the following symptoms when you have a stomach ulcer.

  • Sudden abdominal pain is the main symptom of ulcers. This pain is irritated even on an empty stomach.
  • Intense pain, discomfort, burning sensation in the stomach at night or shortly after meals commonly occur in stomach ulcer.
  • Vomiting of blood or blood in a dark brown colour in severe condition
  • Pain in upper abdomen, heaviness, gas and sour belch.
  • Nausea, dizziness, eructation, loss of appetite and weight loss

Natural Remedies For Stomach Ulcers

Drumstick Leaves:

Use of drumstick leaves are beneficial to get relief from symptoms of stomach ulcer. Grind its leaves and make a paste with curd and consume it once a day.

Asafetida (Hing):

As its commonly known that asafoetida is beneficial for stomach health. Yes, this spice actively works to aid stomach ulcers. For those who have a stomach ulcer, consuming a pinch of asafoetida with a glass of water helps digest food and reduce the symptoms of gas and ulcer.

Cabbage:

Drinking two glasses of cabbage juice each day is convinced that it is hugely responsible for her resistance to returning the ulcer.

Pears:

Pear has high levels of flavonoids and antioxidants, which help reduce the symptoms of ulcers. It also prevents H. pylori infection. It contains fibre which keeps the digestive system healthy. The risk of gastric ulcer eased significantly in those who consume pears regularly. 

Fenugreek (Meethi):

Boil one spoonful of fenugreek in two cups of water. Drain and mix one teaspoon honey into it, consume this drink every day when there is stomach ulcer, it relieves the symptoms.

Bananas:

Bananas also prevent stomach ulcers as it has anti-bacterial properties cure stomach acid. The patient of ulcer gets benefit by eating both ripe and raw bananas.

Prevention Of Stomach Ulcers

  • Eat a balanced and healthy diet
  • Eat clean and hygienic food and water
  • Minimize the use of spices and seasoned or fried foods.
  • Avoid the use of osteoporosis.
  • Do not use on an empty stomach if you are taking any medicines regularly.
  • Avoid smoking and alcohol
  • Fruits and boiled vegetables milk, cream, butter are the best diets for an ulcer patient.
  • People who drink sufficient amount of water have less chance of ulcers.
