Basil leaves have a compound in it that is very similar to camphor. It soothes the mosquito bite by providing a cooling sensation. Take a few basil leaves and boil it in a cup of water for15 minutes. Strain this concoction and cool it to a bearable temperature. Now apply this solution with the help of a cotton on mosquito bites.

Saltwater is an easily available and simple home remedy that treats mosquito bites instantly. The application of salt makes the irritating antigens of the mosquito saliva to come out and itchiness disappears in a few minutes.

Apple cider vinegar is antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory. Dilute apple cider vinegar with water in 1:1 ratio. Stir well and apply this solution to mosquito bites with the help of a cotton swab. To increase the effectiveness you may also add baking soda to this solution.
