How to consume flax seeds:

Take whole flax seeds and grind them properly. It is best to grind flax seeds only before using it or they will oxidize. You can consume flax seeds with water, milk or curd. 2 to 4 tablespoons of flaxseeds per day is recommended for an adult. Flax seed oil and capsules are also available. But eating whole flaxseed is preferred as it contains fiber. Keep in mind do not consume flax seeds if they are raw or unripe as they may be poisonous.
