The stretch marks on the breast is common. When examined closely they appear as thin and fine lines. Breast implants or surgeries –

Breast implants placed to increase the breast size stretches the skin leading to breast stretch marks. Repositioning the implants or placing new implant also results in stretch marks.

Weight gain, Weight loss –

Sudden weight gain causes stretch marks because with weight gain the breast size increases. If a female looses weight suddenly it leads to weight loss.

Other health conditions –

Health conditions that make skin vulnerable to stretch marks include Cushing syndrome, Marfan Syndrome and other auto-immune diseases.

Keep Your Skin Hydrated –

To keep your skin hydrated not only topical miniaturisation is required but it is also important for you to drink at least 9-10 glasses of water in a day. Staying hydrated also improves the all over body functions.

Use Mositurisers such as almond oil and coconut oil to massage the stretch marks. Massaging improves the blood circulation and reduces stretch marks.

Regular exfoliation –

Regular exfoliation helps to get rid of dead skin cells and softens the skin. It aids stretch mark prevention.

Coca butter – Purchase cocoa butter or Shea butter from local store. Both are rich in vitamin E and rejuvenates the skin. Massage your breast with it regularly.

In most of the cases the breast stretch marks get lighten with the time and fade away with simple home remedies. But if you do not find the desired result meet dermatologist.  A dermatologist may recommend you acid peels, laser therapy, collagen injections, radio frequency and microdermabrasion.

Although not always it is possible to prevent breast stretch marks but there are certain ways to decrease the chances of breast stretch marks. Follow the tips discussed below to decrease breast stretch marks:

  1. Eat healthy and balanced diet rich in vitamin E, antioxidants and fibre to improve the health of skin and also maintain healthy weight.
  2. Drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated. Dry skin is more likely to develop stretch marks.
  3. Use stretch mark creams sold in the market after consulting your physician.
  4. Exercise to maintain a healthy weight.

Breast stretch marks are very common. They are normal and harmless. In most of the cases they fade away. If they do not fade away they tell story of your beautiful journey of gaining puberty or getting pregnant and becoming mother. Embrace yourself and your beauty.
