Effective Foods To Avoid Irregular Periods

Eating right food is very important to keep yourself healthy, fit and free from diseases. Eating right helps to keep several health diseases at bay and hormones in balance. For a female eating, the right food can avoid irregular menstruation.

Most of females of reproductive age get their periods between 24 to 32 days of their menstrual cycle. If the cycle is longer than 35 days or if the cycle varies in length, it indicates irregular periods. In most of the cases, it happens due to the imbalance in the level of oestrogen hormone or improper flow of blood to the pelvic area. In our article we will discuss the foods to avoid irregular periods but let us first learn the common causes of irregular periods.

#1. Obesity

One of the biggest reason for irregular periods is obesity. Excess of weight gain leads to hormonal disturbance and disturbs the level of insulin hormone. Hormonal imbalance leads to other disorders such as polycystic ovarian syndrome and hypothyroidism.

Drink a glass of boiled water with a half-teaspoon carom seeds if you suffer from irregular periods. Carom seeds are antispasmodic and an excellent home remedy to stimulate the function of uterus.

Turmeric is known to channelize the flow of blood to the uterus. It is anti-inflammatory. Add a teaspoon of turmeric to a glass of warm milk. Drink it everyday before going to sleep.

Cinnamon stimulates the production of oestrogen and also stimulates the flow of blood to the pelvis. It relieves menstrual cramps and pain. Add a pinch of cinnamon to a glass of milk to get the maximum benefit.

Apple cider vinegar balance the body hormones. It reduces unnecessary belly fat and excess weight. To a glass of water, add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and a half-teaspoon honey. Honey neutralizes the bitter taste of apple cider vinegar.

Irregular menstrual cycle is noticed when you experience delayed or missed periods or if you notice inconsistency in menstruation or unnatural bleeding. By adding foods to avoid irregular periods to your diet you can balance the level of hormones and maintain your menstrual cycle.
