Lines on Forehead

Simple horizontal lines on the forehead is usually an indicator of digestive issues. While a more pronounced worry line indicates you liver to be under pressure. Ulcers

Dark Circles

Dark circle under the eye could be an indication of insufficient sleep and rest. If these persist even after correcting your sleeping hours, it could be due to your body’s intolerance against any food item, dairy products, wheat or even alcohol.
While dark circles on the eyes are mainly visible due to iron deficiency in blood. It is suggested for people with such traits to reduce their intake of stimulating drinks.

Darkened palm lines

Dark red palm lines usually appears in those patients who are likely to have an endocrine disorder. These deep pigmentation of creases n your skin maybe a symptom of Addison’s disease, caused by adrenaline deficiency. If that is the condition you suffer from, you will likely have a lower blood pressure with pigmentation noticed around other skin folds, scars, lips and pressure points like knees and knuckles.

Pale grey or blue skin or nails

In children with congenital heart disorders, pale grey or blue skin (also called cyanosis) is visible helping for the early detection of the condition. However in adults likely to encounter heart attacks, blue nails and lips are mostly noted.

Purple marks on skin

The reason for purple splotches, otherwise called purpura, being visible on your skin could be various. These marks, that look like bruises but lasts longer, could be due to an injured blood vessel or due to scurvy, caused by vitamin C deficiency. Either ways it would be better to consult a doctor in such case.

Yellowish skin

If your skin appears yellow with your palms and soles looking orange-ish, it could be due to the accumulation of beta-carotene in thyroid gland. The change in skin colour happens as a result of an underactive thyroid gland. In this case of hypothyroidism, there is increased amount of beta-carotene in blood, which is not metabolized quickly by the gland, resulting in its accumulation.

Itching skin

A rash that follows some itchiness could probably be a symptom of Celiac disease or an allergy to gluten. These rashes usually appear repeatedly on forearms, knees, buttocks, back of your torso or even face and scalp.
Whereas, itching without any rashes could be triggered by many health conditions. However, if there is no much visual change to the skin where it itches, it could be an early symptom of lymphoma. It is also called the “Hodgkin itch”.

Dry lips

Dry lips are usually seen if there is a deficiency of vitamin B or due to lowered iron intake. It could also be as a result of internal dehydration. However, it is suggested to drink plenty of water to keep the skin hydrated.

Your skin portrays your health. Much of the earlier symptoms of most disease are visible on the skin and could be helpful for early detection and treatment of various diseases. It could also be that it is just a reaction of particular foods or change of seasons. However, it would be best to know the exact reason behind these visual traits and get them treated accordingly.
