Homemade Deodorant Recipes

Do you know how important health is from the outside in and the inside out? There are lots of deodorants available in the market today. Most contain toxic chemicals which are not good for the skin whereas natural deodorants have been suggested by industry experts for years. It is better to avoid chemical products which are harmful to the body. Homemade deodorants are the wonderful alternate rather than the commercial products which are not suggested. Recipe 1:
Ingredients-

  • Three table spoons of coconut oil
  • Two table spoons of Shea butter
  • Three table spoons of baking soda
  • Tow table spoons of cornstarch
  • Five drops of essential oil

Making-

  • Take a small pot with water and place a half-pint glass jar in the middle of the pot.
  • Now make a double boiler.
  • Fetch water to simmer.
  • Now mix Shea butter and coconut oil to the jar and let it be melt.
  • Blend baking soda and cornstarch after turn off the heat and stir until it becomes smooth.
  • You can blend essential oils including lavender, orange etc.
  • Let it be cool.
  • Deodorant becomes at room temperature.
  • In the summer, it is suggested to keep the deodorant jar in the fridge.
  • It is a frugal recipe.

Homemade Deodorant Recipes

Recipe 2:
Ingredients-

  • 1/3 cup of extra coconut oil
  • 1/2 tbsp. of beeswax shavings or beads
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 3/4 cup arrowroot powder
  • 2 tbsp. of clay
  • 25 drop of tree essential oil
  • 5 drops of lemongrass essential oil

How to make-

  • Take coconut oil and beeswax in a bowl and heat them in a small flame until it scarcely melted.
  • Turn off the heat.
  • Mix rest of the ingredients except essential oils.
  • Let it be cool and stir it for every five minutes until it becomes hard.
  • Put it in fridge.
  • Stir frequently and mix essential oils.
  • It smells wonderful.

Above recipes are inexpensive and safe. You can make your life little greener by making all the above natural ingredients. If you want to feel fresh and smell good, above recipes will help you in such way. If you feel irritating underarm after the use of homemade deodorant, decrease the amount of baking soda and increase the amount of cornstarch in the homemade recipe. Tea Tree oil has a refreshing scent and anti-bacterial properties.
