How To Get Rid of Blackheads in Ears

Blackheads are very common and mostly develops on the facial T-zone. But they may also occur in ears and are more irritating, troublesome and stubborn when present in ears. In fact, blackheads in your ears are tender, painful (Pain is mild) and make you imagine that your ears are dirt.

Blackheads are caused due to clogging of pores by sebum, dirt, dead skin cells or too much secretion of oil. Sebum on coming in contact with oxygen turns black and blackheads are created. Dark complexion people have yellowish or grayish blackheads.

There are products available in the market to get rid of blackheads in the ears but in this article, we have enlisted easy and quick home remedies for the same. Let’s get started.

Home Remedies to Get Rid of Blackheads in Ears

1.Baking Soda

Baking soda is a very effective way to remove blackheads as it is a natural exfoliator. It removes dirt, microbes and other impurities from the skin and clears our skin. Also it removes excess of oil and unclogs the pores. You can use it to get rid of blackheads in ears.

Take a tablespoon of baking soda and add a half teaspoon of water to it. Mix both the ingredients and apply to the affected area. Keep it for 5 minutes and then wash it off. Repeat this once in a week.

2.Benzoyl Peroxide

Benzoyl peroxide shrinks the pores and removes the impurities. By using it you will not only get rid of blackheads but also recurrence is prevented. Use a benzoyl peroxide based cleanser for this purpose and apply it on the affected part. Massage for a few minutes and then rinse it with lukewarm water. Repeat this 2 times in a day.

3.Rubbing Alcohol

Rubbing alcohol sterilized the area and destroys the bacteria and blackheads. Take a sterilized cotton ball and soak it with rubbing alcohol. Squeeze out the excess of alcohol and apply it on the blackheads in the ears. Leave it overnight and then removes the cotton ball in the morning. This is followed by cleaning the affected area with plain water. Repeat this every night for 3 consecutive nights.

4.Lemon juice

lemon juice is another natural way to get rid of blackheads in the ears. Lemon contains citric acid which is a natural alpha hydroxy acid. It exfoliates the skin and removes the impurities. Mix half tablespoon of lemon juice with one-fourth tablespoon of sterilized water. Mix the ingredients and soak a sterilized cotton ball with it. Apply the cotton ball on the affected part after squeezing out the excess of dilute lemon juice. Let the application dry and then gently scrub the area. This is followed by washing it off. Repeat this times in a day.

5.Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil has antibacterial property. Soak a cotton ball with 10-12 drops of tea tree oil. Remove excess of oil and apply to the affected part. Keep it overnight and then in the morning discard the cotton ball. With a damp towel wipe your ear. Repeat this for a week.

6.Black head extractor tool

You can easily buy this tool from the market and use it. It is the best way to remove the blackheads but is a little bit painful. For this put a warm towel on your ears to open the pores. Rub the using alcohol on the tool to disinfect it. Place the extractor tip on the top of blackhead and press it down gently. After blackheads are removes wash the area with lukewarm water, dry it with a sterilized cloth and apply antiseptic cream.

7.Warm compress

Warm compress opens the pores and removes excess of oil, impurities and dead skin cells. Soak a clean cloth with warm water. Wring it to remove excess of water and apply the warm cloth to your ears for 5-10 minutes. This is followed by using a cleanser to clean your ears. Repeat this 2 times in a day for a few days.

Before trying any of the above home remedies to get rid of black heads in ears you need to clean your ears first. You do not need to use to insert a cotton swab into your ear for this. Just soak a towel and clean your ears gently and then dry it with a soft washcloth. Keep in mind you should never squeeze blackheads as it may become infected.
