Summers are back. It is so hot during the months of May and June, that it seems as if the sun is on your head. Getting out of the house after 12 noon to 4 pm is very tough. Hot winds are blowing and there is fear of getting hit with heat exhaustion. Also, summer brings other health issues such as dehydration, digestive problems, and ulcers. But if you choose your diet wisely then certain foods that are available during the summers will prevent you from summer health issues and also keep you hydrated and cool.

Even out mother nature has provided with natural summer foods that are high in water content and maintains the level of body heat. 1.Coconut Water-

Coconut water is a super drink. It provides the body with adequate amount of water and electrolytes. Make a habit of drinking at least a liter of coconut water every day. It contains minerals, sugars, and electrolytes. Also, it is low in cholesterol and fat. It is the best beverage of summers.

The best superfood drink after water during the summer season is Coconut water. During the summer, our body loses water in the form of sweat and urine. Due to this, your body doesn’t contain the required amount of fluids which results in the increase of body heat. Hence, to control heat production, drink at least 1 liter of coconut water daily.

2.Buttermilk-

Buttermilk is made up by churning yogurt and removing the butter cream. It contains lots of water and probiotics that keep your gut healthy. It is a refreshing drink of summers and contains electrolytes and minerals. Also, it is a good source of protein and other nutrients. Do not add sugar or salt to buttermilk. Better drink it plain. You can have it 2 to 3 times in a day.

Watermelon is one of my favorite summer fruits. It is rich n water and electrolytes. It reduces the body heat. This fruit is a rich source if vitamin A and vitamin C. Eat it or drink its juice and stay health in summers.

To prevent heat stroke and mouth ulcers in summer, add pomegranate to your daily diet. This fruit drops the temperature of the body and Also increases the level of hemoglobin. This fruit provides the body with fiber and is rich in vitamins and minerals.

5.Cucumber-

Cucumber is a water-rich vegetable. It hydrates the body. It is rich in antioxidants and potassium. It contains Pepsin enzyme that keeps your gut healthy. You may also apply cucumber slices to your face to treat heat rash or sun tan.

6. Honeydew Melon-

Like watermelon honeydew lemon is also a summer fruit. It is high in water content and is rich in vitamin C. Also, it is rich in fiber and does not contain cholesterol.

7. Mint Leaves-
