1#Marigold Pack

Take 2-3 marigold flowers and take out their leaves. Now add milk powder, yogurt and half grated carrot to it. Pu all the ingredients in a blender and then make a smooth paste. Apply this paste on your face for 15 minutes and then wash off with plain water. This will help in giving glow to your skin and reduces dullness. This pack is more apt for winters as it replenishes cells and renews them.

2#Hibiscus Pack

Take geranium and hibiscus flower petals and make a paste. Now add some brown rice paste and few drops of Vitamin E to this mixture. Add well and form a paste. Apply this pack on your face and let it dry. Now scrub off this mixture from your face after 15 minutes. This face pack will cure pimples and also clear off the skin impurities.

3#Jasmine Pack

Take some jasmine flowers and add their petals to the boiling water. Let them boil for 10 minutes and then take them off from the heat. Let the mixture cool down and then drain the water from the petals. Now add some good moisturizing cream to the petals and apply this paste on your face. Remove this pack after 15 minutes with plain water. You can also add curd instead of cream to the petals to form a thick paste. This pack will give you a moisturized skin and your skin will appear soft and supple.

4#Chrysanthemum and Chamomile Pack

Take the petals of Chrysanthemum and chamomile flowers. Noe boil these petals in water for few minutes till they turn soft. Strain the water and make a paste of these leaves. To this mixture add 1 tbsp of honey and milk. Apply this mixture on your face and then wait for 15 minutes. Wash off with plain water to get a clear and clean skin. This pack is specially meant for winters as it removes all the impurities from the skin and heals up all the scars from the skin.

5#Rose Oil Pack

If you do not have rose flower at home then you can take rose oil too. To 3 drops of rose oil, add 1 tbsp sandalwood powder, 2 drops of lavender oil, 3 tbsps of gram flour or besan and a pinch of turmeric powder. Take One small tablespoon of sandal wood paste, 3 drops of rose oil, 2 drops of lavender oil, 3 table spoons of besan and little amount of turmeric powder. Mix them well to form a paste. If the paste is thick then you can add buttermilk as well. Apply it on your face for 15 minutes and wash it off after that. This will give you a glowing and refreshed skin in minutes.

Lavender is having the lightening agents and it will clear the skin and adds clarity to the skin. Take some petals of lavender flower and boil them for few minutes. Strain the water and separate the petals from the water. Now to these lavender petals add 1 tbsp of oat powder and make a fine paste. You can also add some water to this paste if the paste is too thick. Apply this on your face for 15 minutes and let it dry. Rinse off with cold water. This will help in removing the blemishes and gives you a clear skin.

7#Rose Pack

Rose flower is available in almost every home. Take rose petals from 3-4 big roses and dry them in the sun. Now crush these petals to form a powder, to this powder add some milk and wheat flakes to form a paste. Now apply it on your face for 15 minutes. Rinse with plain water. You will get well toned skin and it will also appear bright.

Take a lotus flower and remove the petals. Now boil these petals in some water for few minutes till they get soft. Now drain the water and make a paste of these petals. Apply this paste on your face for 15 minutes. Rinse off with water. Lotus flower has linoleic acid which helps in lightening the tone of the skin by making it bright.

9#Frangipani Pack

This flower popularly known as ‘Champa’ in Hindi and is readily available. Take some Frangipani flowers and grind them in the grinder to make a fine paste. Now to this add some water and gram flour and make a smooth paste. Apply this paste on your face evenly and let it dry. Wash off with water after 15 minutes. 10#Geranium and Hibiscus Pack

Take the leaves of Geranium and Hibiscus flower and boil them for a while.Now add a paste of brown rice and vitamin E oil to this mixture. Apply this pack on your face for 20 minutes. Wash off with plain water. This pack will clear off your skin from dust and dirt and also prevents the outbreak of pimples.

11#Hibiscus and Rose Pack

To give radiance and freshness to your skin, use a pack made from Hibiscus and Rose leaves. Take some petals of both the flowers and make a paste of these petals. Add 1 tbsp of curd, multani mitti to this pack and some water to make a smooth paste. Apply on the face and neck and leave it for 20 minutes before cleaning it off with cold water.

12#Lilly Pack

Take out some petals of lily flower and add 1 tbsp of honey to it. Now grind this mixture for a smooth paste. Apply this on your face for 15 minutes and rinse with cold water. This pack will give a freshness to your face and keep your skin glowing.

Another beautiful variety of flower, loved by almost everyone for its simplistic beauty and poise. There are over a 100 species of roses and thousands of cultivars and they vary in shape, size and colour. Most of its species are found in Asia and some in Europe, North America and North western Africa.

Rose flower is usually known to an ornamental variety of flower but its uses extend beyond this image. They can be grown to beautify your gardens or cut and displayed for commercial purposes.

The flower is also used to extract rose oil to provide its fragrance in perfumes as well as soaps. Rose hips maybe used for making jams and marmalades or even in certain cosmetic products.

Rose or rosewater are very much used in Persian, Middle Eastern and South Asian cuisines specially in sweet dishes or for garnish. The flower is actually widely used in cooking as the petals or leaves are used to flavour tea or in desserts and ice creams.

A concentrated syrup is also known to be extracted from the flower which is generally used to make squash. It is also used to make rose creams, a traditional English confectionary which is rose flavoured fondant covered with chocolate and topped with a crystallised rose petal.

Big and beautiful , sunflower is actually an inflorescence of hundreds and thousands of tiny florets arranged together making it a false flower. The flower needs full exposure to the sun and grows best in fertile, moist, well drained soil with a lot of mulch. It is the state flower of Kansas.

When it comes to uses, every part of the flower and the plant is useful in one way or the other. Sunflower oil is widely used. Other than cooking, these oil can be used in soaps, lubricants or in candles.

Medicinally, sunflower oil can be used to relieve skin problems like haemorrhoids and ulcers. The roots which have the power to clean up radiations from soil and water, can also be used to treat snakebites and spider bites.

 The leaves are also medicinal as it helps relieve fever, lung ailments and diarrhoea when made into tea.

Lavandula or lavender is native to the Old World and is seen to grow in Cape Verde and the Canary Islands, Europe across to northern and eastern Africa, the Mediterranean, southwest Asia to Southeast India.

It is mainly used to extract essential oils from it which can be used in balms, salves, perfumes, cosmetics and topical applications. It is also widely used as an ornamental flower and also for landscaping purposes.

It is also widely used for culinary purposes with its fragrant and slightly sweet flavour. It could make a condiment and maybe used in salads and dressing. A very little amount of it would do the job. It can be used on cakes or in desserts and are also occasionally found in teas.

The flower also has some medicinal purposes as well. It is used with chamomile in aromatherapy. It has also been studied to eliminate anxiety and sleep related troubles. Also lavender honey, extracted from bees feeding on the flowers’ nectar, is said to heal uninfected wounds.
