Summer skin care

Moisturizing-

Not only your kin needs to be moisturised in winter but also in summers. Keeping your skin moisturised is very essential. The reason behind is that during summers extreme heat cause skin a body to dehydrate, and eventually your skin becomes dry. Dry skin becomes dull and gets damages. Moisturizing your skin will keep your skin hydrated and will also prevent it from pollution, sunburn and bacteria.

The moisturiser you chose during summers should be gel based or water based and non-greasy. Select the one rich in vitamin E.

Exfoliate-

Exfoliate to keep your skin clean and prevent the accumulation of dead skin cells you need to exfoliate your skin at regular interval. If dead skin cells form a layer on your skin, your skin is unable to breathe. It is always better if you use homemade exfoliators and market available scrubs alternatively. Do not exfoliate your skin daily or it will cause dryness, breakouts and rashes. Better exfoliate only two times in a week. Scrub gently in circular motion. Never peel before stepping out in the sun or swimming.

Drink lots of water-

It is essential to keep your body hydrated during the summers. Summers make you sweat a lot, and your body loses water very fast. If dehydrated you feel weak, and skin becomes dull. Make a habit of drinking at least ten glasses of water every day.

Use sunscreen before stepping out in the sun-

Summers cant stops you from steeping out. But remember never to step out in the sun without wearing a sunscreen or sun heat will damage your skin leading to fine lines, dry skin and brown spots. Choose a sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Apply it generously on your skin and repeat every few hours.

Non-Comedogenic products-

Comedogenic products clog your skin pores. Clogged skin pores is the most common cause of infection, skin irritation and acne. This is why we suggest you use in-comedogenic skin products. As we sweat more during the summers using comedogenic skin products will combine pore blocking products with an excess of oil, and the result will be havoc.

Healthy diet-

Summer demands a healthy diet rich in seasonal fruits. Also eat seasonal vegetables, cereals, pulses and nuts. Balanced nutrient supply is what your body requires. Increase the intake of boiled and raw food. Avoid processed, fatty and spicy foods as they cause sweating. Include as many veggies and fruits as possible. For great skin, your body needs nuts and do remember to ass calcium-rich food such as green leafy veggies, egg and dairy.

If you swim the, do remember that chlorine percent of the swimming pool water penetrated deep your hair strands and made them dry and brittle. Clarifying shampoo breaks chlorine and protect your hair.

Deep conditioning-

High humidity damages the texture of your hair and make them look frizzy. Give your scalp a warm coconut oil massage. Leave for an hour and the shampoo. Your hair will feel nourished and soft. Repeat this 2-3 times in a week. You may also apply curd the same way for deep conditioning.
