Dyshidrotic eczema is more common in females than in males and affects mostly adults between age 20 to 40 years. It is common in those who have an allergy, other forms of eczema and family history of dyshidrotic eczema.

There is no cure for dyshidrotic eczema. Mild cases eventually heal on its own. It may take 2-3 weeks for the blisters to disappear but the underneath skin may remain tender, red, dry and cracked for a few more days.
