Top 10 Tips to Get Soft Skin in Winter

Winter is gives not only a cool breeze but also causes a few skin problems such as hardness and roughness of skin, irritation, itchy skin, and allergies etc. Due to cold temperatures, the skin suffers from poor blood circulation and widened capillaries. Due to use of heaters indoors and the drop in humidity, the skin suffers from dryness. It’s not possible to avoid the cold. So, you need to take care of your skin by following some skincare tips to get soft skin and removes winter beauty woes.

Most people are not interested to drink lots of water during winter. If you want to hydrate your skin, you must drink plenty of water. It is highly important in any season. If you’re in journey, carry a bottle of water always with you. If you feel thirsty, immediately drink water.

Moisturize the skin by having herbal tea regularly. It is great remedy to help your skin retain its shine.

Bathing:
Pay maximum attention in the winter season. Hot water is tempting during winter. But avoid it. Use only lukewarm water daily. It is suggested to use a mild non-drying soap or a moisturizing soap to avoid your skin getting itchy and dryness.

Keep your skin moisturized by using a good, oil-based moisturizer regularly. Most affected regions like nails, hands, lips and feet to be paid attention. Keep your lips soft and supple by using a lip balm. It is better to use a lip balm with SPF works. Oily skin people must use light moisturising lotions to keep the skin soft.

A good sunscreen:
During cold, people like to expose in the sun. But this may harmful to the skin. Before going to outside, apply a sunscreen of 15, protects your skin from sun rays. It has to be done throughout the year.

Don’t lick your lips:
Use a good lip balm and avoid to licking them. Lip balm must contain tea tree oil, which helps to heal painful cracks.

Avoid wet gloves and socks:
Wet gloves and socks may cause cracking, itching, and sores and even flare-up eczema. So it’s better to avoid socks and wet gloves.

Stronger stuff is required to the feet during winter. It is suggested to apply lotions which contain petroleum jelly or glycerine. Ger rid of dead skin cells present in your skin by using exfoliates, which works faster and deeper.

It is better to avoid masks, alcohol-based toners, harsh peels, and astringents because these may cause dryness and strip crucial oil from your skin. A cleansing milk or mild foaming cleanser, alcohol free toner are suggested by the experts.

Wear appropriate cloth:
Cold-weather fabrics are not perfect wearing in winter. These can aggravate dry winter skin. So try to avoid those clothes and wear soft, breathable clothes that keep your body warm.
