Sun heat causes freckle, sunspots, pigmentation, skin thinning and wrinkles. The first thing you need to do is to choose a mositurizer or a body lotion with SPF. Apply SPF rich lotion after bath and before stepping out to keep your skin hydrated, smooth, soft and protected from sun.
Always apply sunscreen lotion at least 20 minutes before stepping out in the sun to protect your skin against the harmful UVA and UVB rays. Re-apply the sunscreen after every few hours.
Exfoliate your skin at least two times in a week to remove the dead skin cells that gets build up due to sun damage.
Along with moisturizing the face it is also important to apply the oil free moisturizer to your neck, chest area hands and feet. Avoid wearing closed shoes because they block the circulation of air. Instead of high heels, wear flats and sandals for proper blood circulation.
It is very important to keep your skin hydrated from inside out. Drink at least 9 to 10 glasses of water throughout the day to prevent sunstroke and dehydrationduring the summers. Carry a water bottle with yourself wherever you go.
What you eat effects your skin. Eat foods that are rich in vitamin A, E and C. Vitamin C, A and E are antioxidants that has the potential to reverse the sun damage.
Wear sunglasses before stepping out in the sun to protect your eye from sun exposure. Use appropriate eye creams and lip balms with SPF.
Lemon juice contains citric acid and aloe vera is rich in antioxidants. In addition, aloe vera is antibacterial and has cooling properties. Aloevera and lemon face pack helps you to get rid of skin tan and gives a smooth and glowing face.
Aloe Vera Mask
To a teaspoon of aloe vera gel add a half teaspoon lemon juice. Mix the ingredients properly and apply it all over your face and neck. Rinse it off when dry.
Yoghurt is rich in magnesium, calcium and other nutrients that not only removes the dead skin cells but also rejuvenates the skin and keeps it moisturized and cool. Gram flour is a natural scrub and whitens your skin.
Mix a teaspoon of gram flour with one fourth teaspoon lemon juice and half-teaspoon yoghurt. Apply the mixture on your face and neck. Rinse it off once it is dry. Repeat this at least 2 times in a week.
Since ages honey has been used to treat lots of skin issues such as sun tan, blemishes, dark spots and keeps the skin hydrated and acne free.
To a teaspoon honey, add teaspoon yoghurt and a pinch of turmeric. Mix well and apply the paste all over your face. When it dries, rinse it off with cool water.
