p.acnes bacteria gets trapped in the pore causing the pore to purge and it multiplies. This bacteria lives naturally on the skin but in case of acne like condition these bacteria overgrow and infect the follicle. This causes inflammation of the hair follicle and pus-filled bumps on the skin.

Oil and dead skin cells:-

If there is more oil on the skin it leads to breakouts. If the dead skin is not removed from the surface of the skin it will get trapped in the pores which causes breakouts.
