9 Step to Have a Manicure at Home:

  1. Get Manicure Tools Ready

To do a manicure at home you need a manicure too. It’s a one-time investment and won’t cost you much. Bring best manicure kit available in the market and get started. Things you require are nail polish remover, cotton pads, cuticle removal, nail clippers, emery board, nail buffer, cuticle pusher and cuticle nippers. Also, you require a base coat, hand moisturizer, clear topcoat, nail polish and exfoliating scrub.

  2. Remove your Nail Polish

First of all, wash your hand with water. Soak a cotton pad with nail polish remover and remove nail polish with it. Use acetone-free nail polish remover as it is safe and in comparison to other nail polish removers dried up fast.

  3. Shape your Nails

Your next step will be to shape your nails to enhance its look. For this, you need nail clippers. To ease the process of nail clipping better dip your hands in warm water. Warm water makes the nail soft. With the help of an Emery, board file your nails to shape them perfectly. Beginners may start with rounded or square edged shaping. You should always avoid nail filers that are rough, coarse or even metallic in order to prevent damage. Better chose an emery board that is gentle abrasive. Buffing your nails should be done in a light way. Do not buff your nails too soft or nail paint will not adhere to it.

  4. Soaking Time

Soaking your hands in a tub filled with warm water will relax your hands. Add shampoo and a mild cleanser to water. It is very important to soak your nails before trimming. Soak your hands only for 5 to 10 minutes. Over soaking may damage skin and nails.

  5. Application of Cuticle Removes and Trim your Cuticle

Apply cuticle on gingers and massage. Use orangewood stick for this. Better wrap the stick in a cotton. Now rub a warm cloth on your cuticles. With the help of cuticle pusher push the cuticle back in a gentle manner and then cut the edges with the help of cuticle nippers.

  6. Exfoliation-

Next step is exfoliation. Use the best scrub that suits your skin. You may also use sugar and lemon for this purpose. Do this in a circular motion and then wipe your hand with a wet towel.

  7. Moisturize Well-

Use the best moisturizer that suits your skin to massage your fingers to hydrate your skin.

  8. Apply Tan Pack-

Tan pack is applied to remove the darkness and this is a very important step that cannot be neglected. Keep tan pack for 15 minutes. If you do not have tan pack then you may use lemon. After 15 minutes remove the pack, wipe your hand and pat it dry with a towel.

  9. Apply Nail Polish-

Choose the color of nail polish you want to apply. Before you apply nail paint make sure nails are free from oily substance. Also, apply a base coat to improve the life of nail polish. Apply nail paint in layers. After the nail paint dries moisturize your fingers.
