Natural Home Remedies to Cover Gray Hair:

1# Black Tea Leaves

Black tea leaves helps in covering the gray hair and keeps them black in color. All you need is 1 cup water and 2 tsp black tea leaves. Boil the water and keep black tea leaves in this water for couple of minutes. Strain the water and then apply it to your roots. Leave it in your for an hour and after that wash your hair with cold water. Do not use shampoo on your hair after this as this will wash off all the color of black tea leaves. This will not only color your hair but also condition them properly. Repeat this process once in two weeks to get black and shiny hair.

2# Henna Powder

Henna is a natural conditioner and it also provides a brownish reddish color to your gray hair. Take 2 tsp of black tea leaves, 4 tbsp of henna powder, 1 tbsp of lemon juice, 1 tbsp of amla powder. Soak henna powder overnight in a cup of water. In the morning boil black tea leaves and let it steep for couple of minutes. Now strain it in henna paste and add other ingredients to this paste as well. Mix them well and then apply this mixture on your hair with the help of an applicator brush covering the gray part of your hair. Leave it on your hair for an hour and then wash off with normal water. You can use a mild shampoo to clean up your scalp completely.

Henna maintains the pH balance of the scalp and maintains oil production in hair as well. Use this pack once in a month for healthy hair and scalp.

3# Amla And Henna Pack

Take 1 cup henna paste and 3 tsp amla powder, to this add 1 tsp of coffee powder and mix them well. Mix water to make a smooth paste and then apply it on your hair with the help of an applicator brush and also wear gloves in your hands as this might stain your hands. Now let this mixture remain on your scalp for an hour and then wash off with normal water. Rinse your hair with a mild shampoo. Use this pack once in a month to keep your scalp well nourished and moisturized.

4# Coconut Oil And Lemon

Coconut oil and lemon juice helps in delaying the graying process of hair and preserves the pigment cells in hair. Take 2 tbsp of coconut oil and 1 tbsp of lemon juice. Mix them well and apply on your scalp for atleast 30 minutes. Massage well to improve blood circulation as well. Wash your hair after 30 minutes with a mild shampoo. Use this twice in a week for getting shiny and black hair.

5# Ribbed Gourd

You need 1 cup coconut oil and 1 cup sun dried ribbed gourd. Soak dry ribbed gourd in 1 cup of coconut oil for atleast 3 days and boil these pieces in the same coconut oil for 5-6 minutes. Cool down this mixture and then strain in a jar. Take some of the oil and apply on your scalp massaging it well. Leave this oil on your hair for 45 minutes and wash off with mild shampoo. Ribbed gourd has the quality to restore the pigment in hair follicles so that they remain black in color. Apply this oil on you scalp 2-3 times in a week.

6# Potato Peels

Take potato peels of 6 potatoes and boil them in two cups of water until you get a thick starch like solution. After the mixture cools down, strain it into a mug. Now after washing your hair, you need to rinse your hair with this mixture. Do not pour plain water in your hair after this and let your hair dry out on their own. The starch present in the potato peel helps in masking the gray hair by adding pigment to it and making hair appear black. You can repeat this process 2-3 times in a week.
