1.Salt and Warm water- This is the easiest and the cheapest home remedy to get rid of a tooth ache. Mix a teaspoon of salt in a glass of water and rinse your mouth with. This will reduce the swelling and ward off harmful bacteria.

2. Wheat Grass Juice- Wheat grass juice is antibacterial. It has the property to remove the toxins and slows the growth of bacteria. Rinse your mouth with wheatgrass juice for 10 minutes and see the result.

3. Asafetida- By using asafetida you can alleviate problems related to bleeding gums and tooth aches. Take a pinch of asafetida powder and add it to a teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix the ingredients. With the help of a cotton ball apply this mixture to the affected area. Instead of lemon you may also use a half teaspoon of clarified butter (ghee) for this purpose.

4. Clove oil- Since ages this oil has been used to ease toothache effectively. It acts as anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic. But do not apply it directly. Mix it with a few drops of clove oil with half teaspoon of love oil. With the help of a cotton ball apply it to the affected part. Hold the cotton ball gently on the affected area firmly for a few minutes and then discard it. Repeat this 3-4 times in a day.

5. Onion- Being rich in antimicrobial and antiseptic properties you can also use onion to control a toothache temporarily. The onion will kill the germs and will also alleviate the pain. For this chew a raw onion for a few minutes.

6. Black pepper- If a toothache becomes very sensitive use pepper to ease the symptoms. Pepper has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Take pepper and mix it with common salt. Add a few drops of water to make a thick paste. Apply this paste to your tooth and let it sit for a few minutes. Repeat this for a few days.

7. Garlic- The medicinal properties of garlic is no more a hidden fact. In the cases of a toothache also garlic provides immense relief. Crush a garlic clove and add white and black salt to it. Apply this to your tooth and for a few days and you will find immense relief in the pain.

8. Peppermint tea bags- the numbing property of peppermint can be used to calm the sensitivity and treat pain. Steep a tea bag in a cup of boiling water for 5 minutes. Place the tea bag in the freezer. After 30 minutes apply this cooled tea bag to the sensitive and throbbing tooth for 15 minutes. Read this a few times in a day.
