    Take one fourth cup of carrier oil, preferably canola oil in a clean jar and add 10 drops of Melaleuca oil to it. Now tightly fit the lid of the jar and shake well, so that ingredients mixes well. Store this dilution in a cool place or refrigerator. Whenever you need to remove makeup soak a cotton ball with the dilution and remove your makeup followed by washing with warm water and applying toner. This procedure prevents any kind of skin problem post makeup and cleans your skin properly.

    Owing to its anti-fungal properties Melaleuca oil if applied for 2 weeks on affected areas after dilution will treat athlete’s foot completely.

    Add a few drops of Melaleuca oil in 100 ml shampoo and shampoo your hair daily to get rid of lice. You may also add tea oil to your scalp massage oil and massage daily to prevent lice.

  10. Soothe sores- Pour a drop of Melaleuca oil on a cotton ball and apply it directly on your sore. Antiseptic property of tea oil will help to soothe sores. Keep in mind to avoid eyes, mouth and areas near them.

Melaleuca oil is very useful in everyday life owing to its uses. But keep in mind if applied directly to the skin in undiluted form it may cause irritation. Keep tea oil out of children’s reach. If tea oil is accidentally swallowed it may cause drowsiness, vomiting, diarrhea swelling in the throat, blood cell abnormalities, ataxia, stomach ache and hallucination and needs serious medical attention.
