1.Lemon

Lemon is rich in citric acids, which promotes exfoliation and remove dead cells. It has an amazing range of health benefits. Vitamin C present in lemon boosts collagen production.

Squeeze a lemon to extract its juice, dilute it with some almond oil, with the help of a cotton ball apply this juice on your face and neck. Leave it on your face for 10 – 15 minutes, wash it with lukewarm water. Do it daily or alternate day.
You can also mix few drops of lemon in some coconut oil, apply this on your face. Coconut will hydrate your skin and lemon helps in the lightening of your skin.
Another option is apply freshly squeezed lemon with honey on your face. Leave it for 15 – 20 minutes. Rinse it off with water.
To help exfoliate your skin, mix two teaspoons of sugar crystals in lemon juice. Apply this syrup to your neck and face. Scrub it in a circular motion and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash your face with lukewarm water. You can follow this regimen every week.

Note: Lemon juice should be avoided when you have pimples, because lemon may cause bleeding of pimples. Always dilute lemon juice by mixing almond oil, olive oil, coconut oil, rose water, aloe Vera or honey to reduce its acidity. Always use fresh lemon juice.

Make a face pack by mixing a pinch of turmeric in 1 -2 tablespoons of gram flour. Add water or milk to make a paste, apply it evenly on your face and leave it to dry. Wash it with lukewarm water. You can follow this remedy once in every week to achieve glowing and healthy skin.

3.Papaya

Papaya is good natural bleaching agent; it helps in the lightening of scars.
Pick a ripe papaya, make a paste by mixing few pieces of papaya in one teaspoon of sandalwood powder and one teaspoon of honey in a grinder. Apply this paste to your face, let it dry and rinse it with water. You can repeat this remedy once every week.

4.Honey

Honey is a fabulous moisturizer; it is great for dry skin. It has antibacterial properties as well. Honey helps in unclogging pores and reduces acne on face.
You can directly apply raw and pure honey on your face. Let it dry and rinse it off with water. You can do this remedy every day.

Alternatively, milk can also be mixed with honey for radiant skin. Gram flour can be added when exfoliation is required. Milk also helps in removing tanning of the skin.

5.Walnut

Walnuts are rich in antioxidants; they are best used for dull and dry skin. They help in exfoliation and removes impurities from the skin.

Mix 2 – 3 tablespoons of yogurt in two teaspoons of walnut powder and make a thick paste. Apply this paste evenly on your face, let it dry. Scrub the paste while rinsing with water. You can use this pack once every week.
Alternatively, you can make a paste by mixing the walnut powder in rose water. A paste of Overnight soaked walnuts can be also used.

6.Coconut oil

Coconut oil helps in the moisturizing of skin; it is a good source of antioxidants and has antibacterial properties too. You can simply massage your face with some coconut oil at night. Wash your face in morning with water.

7.Cucumber

Cucumber acts a natural astringent; it hydrates your skin and promotes repairing of skin.
Cut a thick slice of cucumber; rub it on your face. Let it dry for 15 – 20 minutes and rinse it with water.

Alternatively, mix equal amount of cucumber juice and lemon juice, Apply this juice with the help of a cotton ball. Let it dry naturally. Rinse it with lukewarm water. It is recommended to follow this routine once daily for glowing skin.

8.Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is both antibacterial and anti-inflammatory in nature, it acts as a natural astringent, heals scars. It moisturizes skin and stimulates new cell formation.

You can extract fresh gel from a leaf, apply this gel on the face using cotton or your fingertips. Allow it to dry for 15 – 20 minutes and rinse it with water. You should follow this once daily.
